Does anyone knwo why they are cutting down the Forest on Ft Bragg?

I liked my runniing trails the way they were! If I wwere still in I could see my land Nav. points easy now. Are they just trying to earn extra money for th e post by cutting down tress and selling the would by recycling the timber? was it a 911 thing and they have to thin out the forest or now one can tell me because its an OPSEC thing or no one knows??? I liked my forest the way they were, but at least the land nav’ers won;t run into swamps and those gullies, they can see where they are going, I hope.
