HDU Sandblasted Signs – A Great Alternative To Wood

Sandblasted signs are a wonderful addition to any business. They are attractive and provide a professional ambience. Recent innovations in sign making have given us a new alternative to wood sandblasted signs – High Density Urethane, or HDU.

What’s Wrong With Wood?

High density urethane is much more durable than wood, and it is naturally waterproof. This is because it is petroleum-based. This means that the humidity and moisture that wreaks havoc on wood signs can’t even touch your HDU sandblasted sign.

But, what about that attractive woody look? HDU sign construction has come a long way in recent years. HDU sign makers have perfected the art and can make it look just like wood. Even standing right in front of the sign, you could never tell that it was not made of high quality wood.
