need info on old wooden cigarette box with carved design on lid ,has bird that picks up cigarette using beak?

Are you talking about the vintage cigarette dispensers where if a lever was pushed/pulled, the bird on top pulls out a cigarette in his beak?

There seems to be many different types of these around. I’m not really sure what information your after but their prices appear to vary from around £40 to £70 ($80 to $150) although this will vary depending on the piece. They date from around the1920s to the 1960s. They look to be highly collectable along with various other designs.
