wood paneling in the basement, should I hire someone to prime and paint it a neutral color ?

planning on selling my house, the finished room in the basement has that old 70′s type wood paneling. Im wondering if I should spend a couple hundred bucks and have this painter I know prime and paint it a nice neutral color, I think it would make the room more cozy and appealing for the year 2009. What does everyone else think?

Absolutely! It will definitely be worth a couple hundred bucks to get rid of the old brown 70′s paneling look. A tan color or light beige would look great – especially if the room is carpeted and the trim is white.
