growing mushrooms….?
hi
i am hoping to grow some mushrooms and I have seen lots of ways of doing it such as spore plugs that you put in wood logs, spores that you scatter over specially prepared woodchips outside and also a bag type thing you keep in a airing cupboard.
I am looking for a way of growing them where I can keep the mushrooms outside without keeping them in the dark. Can you do this with the log process?
I’m not sure if it matters but I’m hoping to grow either shitake, lions mane or oyster. I also looked at plain old button mushrooms but they seem to have to be kept in the dark.
Any help would be appreciated.
You can get kits for them all, but temperature is crucial part. They dont need light to grow. So they can be grown in the dark. Check you tube there’s plenty of demonstrations.
