What can I do to cover wood paneling? Besides trying to sheet rock over it?
We just bought my childhood home, its 25 years old. Its has wood paneling and there is NO sheetrock under the wood paneling so what is the best way to make it look like a wall. Its like crown molding at the top and then wall and then chair rail then wood paneling then base board. We want it to look like a complete wall and just the chair rail has been added. Is there a wall paper that you can purchase that can cover it,cause someone told that that there was a wall paper that you could put over the paneling so that you don’t have to mud or putty to sand in order to prime???? Anyhelp is appreicated.
Where do they sell this textured wall paper? I’ve got a Lowe’s and Home Depot in my area and thats it. I’m from central Alabama.
I just used a textured wal[paper and then painted over it. You need to be careful putting the paper up so you dont push the paper into the grooves of the paneling.Practice with one or two pieces of wallpaer at first if you arent too sure of yourself
