How do you get cigarette smoke smell out of wood furniture?

We recently bought an armoire off of Craigs List – it is old and pretty cool… we really like it.

The old refrigerator trick.
A box, or two or three: perhaps one on each shelf of baking soda.
I was thinking of lemon scented furniture polish but you may get a residue on your clothes.
Just thought of something else. I have seen potpourri scented shelf/drawer lining paper. Would that work.
My wife likes to use heavily scented bars of soap (too much scent for us to use for washing) in drawers (often gifts) to scent the furniture.
I might put the armoire in an open air space where I could leave the doors open. Do you have a screened in sun room where the rain ‘never’ gets in?
