For the modern and/or contemporary kitchens, you may want to use glass, aluminum or steel cabinets. However, I strongly suggest kitchen wood cabinets. They work well with modern/ contemporary and traditional types of kitchens. So, if in the future you want to change your kitchen theme you can actually keep the old cabinetry saving you a great deal of money. Durability of these cabinets is no question. If you wish them to match your new equipments you can easily change the color palette without spending much.

A good thing about these cabinets is you can be a part of them. RTA kitchen cabinets or ready-to-assemble cabinets are available for you to put up yourself. They are cheap and ideal for those who are low on their budget. And since you installed them yourself, you will feel to work whenever you enter the kitchen. It is as if you have contributed to the beauty of the whole room and you will feel proud of yourself with your work.
